Besides portraits and landscapes made for various projects, I work on three big personal series: Totems and Taboos, the Guardians (I and II), and the Couple series. You will find short presentation of these series woth the photographs.

In my artistic research, singing and photography are inseparable. They feed one another, question each other. When one goes bad, the other one takes over, then fades so that the first takes its place back. My vocal register (lyric soprano) allowed me to die in Dido (Purcell), to hope madly in Madame Butterfly or despair as Tosca (Puccini). Opérette and jazz bring their universes of laugthers and nostalgy. Singing is the direct experience of the palette of all human emotions and instincts.

Singing is physical, organic.

My photographic research, begun in 2007, was born from the irrepressible need to put into images more or less conscious visions. When I create my photographs, I do not think of a topic first: I let myself be submerged by these visions. Like the Surrealists. Once the images are created, I can finally try to understand their hidden sense. Photography is the exploration of the human soul through symbols which turn out to be linked to universal matters of life, death, and knowledge of self.

Photography is spiritual, mystic
